Hey Ya’ll!!!
YouTube, YouTube, YouTube. I love watching YouTube videos and I have been watching them since forever, well since August 2009 at least. I will favorite every video that I think is the best and I comment on those that I feel speak the truth. So, after 3 years of being an avid YouTube video watcher I have decided to share some of the best YouTube channels, in opinion. If anyone were to go to my channel they would be like, “But KD, you’re subscribed to like 100 channels”. As true as that may be, there are about 10 that I go to repeatedly. And of those 10, there are 4 that I luv, luv, luv, luv, luv!
So without further delay, I present to you a list of my “4 Channels to Watch on YouTube”. (Warning: Some of these channels contain adult language and subject matter. But those are the best kind.)
Number 1

Kevin and Makael. These are two of the brightest, funniest, realist and most entertaining commentators on YouTube to come out of Philidelphia. The Skorpion show’s host Kevin will forever defend Janet Jackson while his co-host Makael will forever be Team Beyoncé. But what I love about them is that they are not fake about anything that they say or do on their show. Their earlier videos were shorter but as they grew and built their fantastic brand, the videos have a bit longer. But they are so funny I stuck with it. (And Kevin and Makael if you are reading this, yes. I did sit and watch that one video that was almost 2 hours long and I did not take a break.) Back to the task at hand. Make sure you set aside some time to watch them without distraction because for the next 35 minutes to an hour you will be completely enthralled. But trust me it is well worth it to watch this duo's on camera antics. In fact, go head and skip to 29:00 in the video above. Epic!

Ladies. Oh that deep voice. Those sexy eyes. Oh my my my!! He is DAMN fine!! Sorry about that, I got off track. Tré Melvin is a YouTube personality and he is what I would call a comedic social commentator. As Tré Melvin has written himself on his YouTube channel description, “Shit happens. I comment on that shit.” And boy does comment! His videos are short (5 to 10 minutes) and to the point just the way I like them. Don’t get me wrong he could make hour long videos and I will still like, favorite and Tweet them.

Miss Scee1206 will show you how to do your hair, makeup and shop for cute ensembles. I go back and forth between natural hair (I have been off the creamy crack for a year!) and weave. When I am in the mood for weave, my first stop as a reference point is Scee1206’s channel. Scee1206 takes you through the process of how to install your own sew in by installing her own hair in real time. I also like how she provides honest reviews on various weave hair brands, including initial and follow up reviews.

Nubiaisutton1 is a holistic counselor, raw food consultant and health and beauty consultant. My younger sister turned me on to Nubiaisutton1’s YouTube channel about three months ago and I have been hooked ever since. Nubiaisutton1 will speak to your soul in a soothing, gentle voice with a pinch of tough love. She will provide with insight and advise on subjects that range from how to improve your outlook on life to advice on relationships. And you don’t have to be a Black woman like me to find something in her messages to relate to. I believe that any woman, and men, can take away something from the powerful messages that Nubiaisutton1 delivers to us.
